Mr. Bush had to sneak into Baghdad or more precisely, the “Green Zone”. Air Force One had to jink around in the sky for a roller-coaster landing. I guess Mr. Bush was worried that all the candy and flowers thrown by adoring mobs of Iraqis would hurt his plane. Will the Arab world see the meeting for what it is - an infidel overlord meeting his puppet?
Well, the good news is that Mr. Bush did not have to sneak back into Washington. Did any American ever have to sneak into Saigon?
2,500 Americans have now lost their lives in Mr. Bush’s “grotesque mistake”. It is time to change direction. The silver-tongued devil Karl Rove speaks from his safe air conditioned building in New Hampshire, his life not at risk, that we should stay the course. We stayed the course in Vietnam. What did we achieve?
Forget about Abu Gharib and innocent Iraqi women and children being killed. Don’t ever ask yourself about the morality of this war. Mr. Bush has done more to damage the reputation of America in six years than all previous Presidents in 200+ years combined.
Is the war in Iraq good for America?
Well, three years, 400 billion dollars and 2,500 Americans and counting.

U.S. death toll in Iraq reaches 2,500
American deaths reach 2500...
The lack of outrage at the murders in Hadditha. And I have no proof that this happened. Only what i hear and what i read. This so called Christian nation. The Christian republicans and there is not outrage. None.
Most Americans have no problem that as many as 24 innocent people were killed in iraq. "collateral damage"
When I talk/discuss/debate the war at work, inevitably someone will say that the solution is to bomb them all. Usually some self proclaimed Christian, suggesting that we just "kill them all".
We have lost the moral high ground. Mr. Bush has done more in 6 years to make this country look bad than all the other presidents in the last 200 + years combined.
Jay Lena put it best when he said that Mr. Bush wanted to be a base ball player but lacked the skills to do so. Luckily for America, there are no such criteria to be president.
War is bad enough when you have a moral imperative to kill. Perhaps, wwii. Hitler and the mass destruction of Jews. Maybe. But in Iraq, we have no moral imperative.
Mr. Bush over the past few days has tried to raise the quagmire in Iraq above a level of disgust, and for many people that will not be an issue, hadditha, abu ghrib, and other war-crimes aside. the morality of war does not seem to bother the Christian sense of right and wrong. And so we have some of them suggesting that the solution in Iraq is to bomb them all.
U.S. death toll in Iraq reaches 2,500
18,490 U.S. troops have been wounded since 2003 invasion.

At least 36 killed as Bush makes surprise Baghdad visit

of course mr. bush did not let anyone know that he was headed to the "Green Zone" in baghdad. and you can bet your last lottery dollar that he did not get out of the green zone. mama did't raise no fool. and people continued to die in iraq.
Now the government will deploy more than 75,000 policemen to baghdad. well, now the insurgents will not have as difficult time killing policemen since they are now grouped together in baghdad.
I heard on the news tonight that FEMA lost more than 1 billion dollars after katrina to fraud. why can't mr. bush find individuals who can manage the departments in the government? of course all you have to do is look at the way he has managed the government as a whole to see that incompetence is the rule of the day in the bush administration.
Almost 2,500 americans have now died in iraq. is what we will gain in iraq worth the cost in human lives? no one knows how many iraqis have died, innocent or otherwise? the cost in dollars in more than 400 billion dollars. 400 billiion.
Simply because Karl Rove was not indicted does not mean that he is not guilty. Just means that his guilt could not be proved. OJ Simpson bring anything to mind?
Probably a plus for the insurgency.
I want what is best for America. Not what is best for Mr. Bush or the Republican Party. Iraq is not what is best for America. Americans have to continue to die because mr. bush must prove a point. America cannot win in Iraq.
The good thing about iraq is that:

Republican Values
The greatest of Republican values...Tom Delay..poster boy for the republican party. he is what all republicans strive to be.
Fifty-five percent of Americans still say the war in Iraq is going badly for the United States,
Mr. Rove says that he and his cronies will not apologize for the incompetence of the Iraq war. "we did the best we could do with the intelligence we had" after all, you are working with that w bush guy.
Advertising mag asks Ann Coulter to kill herself- well finally a voice of reason.
Number of senators who voted against the Iraq war.
But this is about values.
I read recently the story about Sodom and Gomorah. Lot you will remember was the good guy that came out of all the this. It seems that most republican religious extremist get their position on gays from the story about sodom and gemorah. god sent 2 angels to visit with lot. some of the men in the city came to lot and requested that they have a chance to get to know these two angels/men. religious bible thumpers would have us believe that what the men of the city wanted was to "butt fuck the two guest". and so old lot, thought it would be better if the men of the city had a chance to get to know his young daughters, so he offered them instead. butt fuck the guest, why not "butt fuck my daughters". so the angels struck the men of the city blind.
well, biblical scholars think that the "sin" committed by the men of the city may have been the sin of "greed". but what i find interesting is old lot. willing to give up his daughters.
well, now "Our Assholes belong to us"

Reid tries to enlist bloggers as Democratic force
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13251808/
At this point, i am not sure who to blog for.
The deomocrats will not stand up to mr. bush because they don't want to show their hands to early. Their strategy is to wait and see how things develop. Critize the war too strongly and you may be in trouble later if the war starts to go well. But, you can't wait too long. At some point, someone in the demorcratic party needs to say something that will cause some kind of excitement in my words...this is not happening at this time.
This war was WRONG and i would like to have some demorcrat say that it was and is WRONG. And no one is and no one will until.......
...someone feels that it is "politically correct" to do so. By then it may be too late however.
What amazes me about mr. bush is that he is not able to read history. The Israelis have been using force in their relationships with the rest of the middle east for more than 50 years. And where has this strategy gotten them. Certainly not "peace". And mr. bush uses the same strategy.
the question that has to be asked and answered is: why do the muslim jihadist hate america so much? perhaps if we understood this part of the puzzle we could come up with a strategy that will work. and not get americans killed. and not get innocent iraqis killed.
but, then mr. bush would not be the cowboy that he so much needs to be.
The Republicans finally have something to feel good about. the "shall not kill" republicans killed a bad guy in Iraq. Finally they were able to get Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Of course the man responsible for 911 is still free. Mr. bush and the republicans tend to forget this small fact.
One thing you can depend and bank on, Iraqis will continue to die and american service men and women will continue to die.
Gunmen killed
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/11/AR2006061100219.html
Well at least they killed him at a good time for the republicans. all the talk would have been about haditha. so we won't talk about the killing of innocent iraqis and talk about Zarqawi.
And finlly-i thought this story interesting, if you have not read, then you may be enlightened.

Another Dubious Turning Point
The end of major combat. The toppling of saddams's statue.
Mission Accomplished. Bring 'em on. and now mr. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. we keep seeing milestones. people keep dying. americans keep dying. mr. bush keeps making excuses.
A Bogeyman Made by the US: Brendan O'Neill
We've heard it all. my friends tell me that we can't simply pack up and leave. leaving will cause greater harm than remaining with the continued bloodshed. and so we stay.
